CARBON SHREDDERS LOW CARBON DIET TRAINING AT BIG PICTURE

Mad River Valley, Vermont-- On Tuesday, March 18, the Carbon Shredders
will offer a free Low Carbon Diet training program.  The event will be
held at the Big Picture Theatre in Waitsfield, from 6pm to 9pm with light
food and drink provided.

"This is our first community outreach event and we hope that the
overwhelming support we got from local towns at Town Meeting brings lots
of people to this great training program," said Carbon Shredder Bob
Ferris, Executive Director of Yestermorrow Design/Build School.

The local CO2 reduction education/action group has arranged for Low Carbon
Diet guru Wes Sanders to lead an orientation and training session for
anyone interested in forming a group to work through the Low Carbon Diet
and effectively steward other groups going forward.

"Wes has taught this program to dozens of communities in Vermont and it's
been wildly successful," said Shredder Gregor Barnum of Seventh
Generation.  "He is the Vermont guru of the Low Carbon Diet, and this
training program will take people through a tried and true methodology
that leaves them armed to help others take the Diet" Barnum said.

Carbon Shredders is supported by corporate sponsors including Green
Mountain Coffee Roasters, NRG Systems, Seventh Generation and Yestermorrow
Design/Build School.

The "10 by 10" resolution to reduce the carbon footprint of the Mad River
Valley passed in the towns of Warren, Waitsfield and Fayston on March 4 at
the respective town meetings.
