(Apologies for any double posts... we are trying to work out a bug in
the system.)

The Post Carbon Sustainability Network, now referred to as PoCSun
(poke sun) will meet for its regular monthly meeting at the Unitarian
Church this Wednesday, April 9th at 6:00 for a pot luck supper. The
program will feature Ann Watson, faculty supervisor of the Vermont
Sustainable Heating Initiative, telling us about the VSHI's work in
the area of home heating with grass pellets. The student group has
done research to suggest that Vermont could grow its own fuel in
sufficient quantity to heat all homes in the state. This has
considerable significance for job growth and increased farmer income.

We will also be joined by Rick Barstow, an East Montpelier resident
who has received a grant from the VT Dept. of Ag for a grass
pelletizing demonstration project. We are hopeful that the Director
of the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund will be able to join us. Sadly,
Scott Sawyer will not be available as he will be attending his
grandfather's funeral. The VSJF will soon be issuing RFP's for grass
pelletizing research projects.

It should be an interesting and very relevant discussion.
