Purpose of the Community Pages
This section of vtpeakoil.net allows registered persons to post their own contents. The idea is to provide an easy mechanism for announcements and discussions, to facilitate communications.
Existing subsections ("folders") here include: Events, Documents, Discussions, and pages for the Regional Groups. See the Site Map for a full list of the folders and subfolders. You can also search through the whole site by keywords (via Google).
Members can create subfolders and articles, and add comments to existing articles (if allowed by the article author). Members can also arrange to receive email notifications when content is added to specific areas (articles added to a folder, or comments added to an article) - via the "subscribe" link at the bottom of each page.
Usage
Anybody can read these pages. Only registered members can post contents. After you have completed registration, you can click on "login" to access posting privileges.
We have recently expanded the storage and bandwidth allotments of this web site, but they are still finite. Uploading of very large files is limited. Uploading of moderate-size files or images is acceptable. You can also embed links to large files stored elsewhere. See some tips on keeping your files small.
Some HTML tags can be embedded in the posted text. But there is normally no need to embed HTML, thanks to auto-formatting. Careful though: a line starting with a space is depicted in typewriter font, and any HTML tags turn off auto-formatting.
More detailed usage guidelines are here, and some brief help built into this system is here. Powered by Siteframe - a flexible content management system that enables web communities to manage their documents online.
